Welcome to Southill Vintage Tea Room and Stores

Southill Tea Room & Village stores is situated in the picturesque village of Southill just outside of Shefford, Clifton & Biggleswade. We are in a quaint 200 year old listed cottage on the Southill Estate which has been home to the Whitbread Family since 1795. The Whitbread family have a tradition in hospitality dating back to 1742 so what better place to come & enjoy the peace & quiet than on their estate.

There has been a Tea Room in Southill for a number years. Starting off as just one table in the old post office & working its way up to the location you see today. A beautiful oasis of calm, serving good quality food at reasonable prices. Just what you need from a Tea Room.
We pride ourselves on good quality ingredients that are locally sourced where possible. We prepare your food to order & you are sure of great home cooked food with a warm & friendly welcome. At busier times this does mean you may have a little wait but please take the time to relax & enjoy your surroundings.

We have a large garden with plenty of seating where we welcome dogs.
We also have a large piece of land at the back of the garden where we ask our many cycling visitors to park their bikes whilst they are with us. There are 4 triathlon bike racks for you to use.

Sadly we do not have room inside the tea room for prams or pushchairs. We can provide a booster seat for children over 1 year.

Our opening hours are listed below. We stay open for longer during the school summer holidays.
Please always check our Facebook page for any variations as sometimes we may have to close early for private functions etc.

We are proud to support local businesses by stocking their goods.
